Whether you are a guest, a contractor, or a seasoned industry professional, it is crucial that everyone is equipped with the knowledge to make informed decisions and maintain a safe environment. We kindly ask visitors to take a moment to watch the following video before your visit.

First things first

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted at the reception and asked to sign in to the visitors' book. Please ensure that your visitor pass is visible at all times and return it when you leave. Your Gould Alloys host will be responsible for your safety and well-being during your visit.

PPE

During your visit, it is important to wear specific attire in certain work areas to ensure your safety. Please wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety footwear, high-visibility clothing, and a hard hat when entering these designated areas.

It is important to remain with your host during your visit and to stay on designated walkways. Be mindful of your surroundings and pay attention to alarms and moving vehicles or equipment, such as forklift trucks, overhead cranes, and cutting equipment.

Do not touch the material unless you are invited to do so and are wearing gloves, as some edges may be sharp. Please do not go near the saws, water jets, or racking unless you are invited to do so. Instead, keep to the designated path around the warehouse.

In the event of an emergency

In case of an emergency, please follow your host to the nearest exit and wait for further instructions. If instructed to evacuate the building, please follow your host to the nearest assembly point. Remember to stay calm, everyone else will be heading in the same direction. Once at the assembly point, wait for further instructions from your host.

If you discover a fire, please notify your host immediately. Emergency services will be notified and respond accordingly. Under no circumstances should you put yourself at risk.

First aid

There are first aid-trained staff throughout the facility. If you require first aid, please ask your host or any staff member. In the event of an incident, an incident report will be completed promptly by your host or another member of staff.

Safety leadership

Here at Gould Alloys, we encourage everyone to take responsibility for safety, including our visitors. Please be alert for anything you believe requires attention. If you observe any behaviour or action that could endanger yourself, a Gould Alloys employee, or the environment, please notify your host immediately. Your input, regardless of your role or purpose of visit, is valuable and will contribute to the safety of all.
